The workbench is pretty much my own design with a replaceable top surrounded by 3 inches of maple skirts. It's made tall as I don't like to bend while I work but for those times that I need to be above the project, there's a fold-away step. Lots of dog holes and two vises.

What a time saver this is proving to be. Especially for table tops and doors. I really had to get creative when trying to find room to put this new tool. There just isn't any more space so I built a low rider drum sander. It will fit under the wing or outfeed table of the table saw and uses the same dust collection as the saw. Here's some specs:

The learning curve doesn't seem too bad with this jig. It wasn't long at all before I cut my first test M & T. What a finely made tool. Here's some info from Leigh:

The Model 750 Simplex Plus is a complete mat cutting system for bevel cutting windows, and fast, accurate sizing of matboard and foamboard. All the features of a frame shop quality mat cutter at a fraction of the price. Cuts matboard, foamboard and even glass (with glass cutting attachment purchased separately). I've got lots of pictures waiting to have frames made up for them. This V Nail Press should speed things up. Here's a little info from Lee Valley:

All too often I needed to crosscut a board that was wider than the capacity of my 12" compound miter saw. 9" or so. I don't have the room in my shop to crosscut on the table saw so the answer was a sliding ccompound miter saw. Here's some stats for the DW708:
